Asking Questions
Formulating questions in English can be as easy as taking a simple statement and turning it around.
A statement is formed with a SUBJECT and a VERB in the order SUBJECT + VERB.
In English a question takes that and switches that order to VERB + SUBJECT.
So a statement like, He is nice . (Él es amable.)
SUBJECT + VERB + ADJECTIVE
Becomes: Is he nice ? (¿Es él amable?)
VERB + SUBJECT + ADJECTIVE
Easy, isn’t it? Get ready to complicate things a bit later.
Cheers,
F.
